Awakening Christian Academy follows a hybrid model: a four-day Christian academy with one guided day of home learning. Students gain the consistency of classroom instruction Monday through Thursday, while one day each week is set aside for family discipleship, enrichment, field trips, independent reading, and hands-on learning. The result is a healthy rhythm — learning it in the classroom, and living it out in the home.

This rhythm gives families the best of both worlds: the structure, accountability, and community of a traditional Christian school, together with the flexibility and family involvement that make hybrid education so meaningful. Children receive the daily formation of a real classroom — and families keep a day each week to be closely involved in how their children are growing.

A partner to your church, never a competitor
We also place great value on the local church. Every Awakening family is active in the life of their own congregation — we believe this is essential to a believer's life and to a family growing in discipleship. Our school is not built to compete with the church, but to complement it. Our weekly rhythm is designed to fit naturally into the life of a family already invested in their church community.
Learning beyond the desk
We believe children learn best when education moves beyond the desk and into the world God made. Field trips, clubs, projects, service opportunities, nature, museums, historic places, and hands-on discovery are not extras tacked onto the schedule — they are essential parts of a rich education.
Family-integrated by design
We also believe families should be part of the learning process. Whether a child is exploring history on a field trip, reading with a parent in the backyard, building a project at the kitchen table, or discovering creation outdoors, education should strengthen family life — not compete with it.
